The Hilti Foundation

The Hilti Foundation was established in 1996 as a charitable organization by the Martin Hilti Family Trust. The Martin Hilti Family Trust is the sole shareholder of the worldwide Hilti Group. Since 2007, the Hilti Foundation has been a joint organization of the Martin Hilti Family Trust and the Hilti Group.

Under its guiding principle “We build a better future”, the Foundation supports activities and projects in the following focus areas:

• Affordable housing
• Community development
• Culture
• Disaster relief
• Education
• Social entrepreneurship

This commitment focuses on empowering people to lead an independent life in self-determination.

Objective

With its activities, the Hilti Foundation strives to promote sustainability and strengthen the fundamental qualities of a modern society. The Foundation uses its projects to offer disadvantaged people the opportunity to independently improve their situation in life and to develop self-confidence.

In doing so, the Foundation embraces the integration of entrepreneurial initiatives that can be multiplied and that can offer measureable results. The Foundation is aware that this is the only way to contribute to sustainable development.
