A Partnership for Purpose

As part of a long-standing partnership between the Hilti Group, the Hilti Foundation, and IMD Business School, six outstanding MBA candidates visited Hilti’s headquarters in Schaan. These students are recipients of the Hilti STEM Scholarship—a program aimed at empowering promising professionals with STEM backgrounds who demonstrate a clear aspiration for leadership.

Felix Hess, member of the Executive Board sharing insights with the scholars.

The visit was an opportunity for dialogue, learning, and exchange. Hilti leaders from across the organization engaged directly with the scholars, sharing insights into leadership, strategy, and culture. From high-level reflections on personal growth to focused conversations on social responsibility, the visit offered a unique window into what it means to lead with both purpose and impact. Among the voices heard was that of the Hilti Foundation, which co-finances the scholarship as part of a broader commitment:

“We support this program not only to create opportunities for promising individuals, but also to connect with STEM-talents who share our values,” said Michelle Kranz, Managing Director of the Hilti Family Foundation Liechtenstein. “Our goal is to foster leadership that drives long-term, systemic change—both within organizations and far beyond them.”

The Hilti Scholars Program reflects a shared commitment to fostering leadership grounded in both technical capability and human impact. Each scholar brings a distinct vision for how they hope to contribute across industries, geographies, and communities. What unites them is a belief that leadership is not defined by position alone, but by the ability to impact the lives of others through their work.
