Social Impact at Hilti — helping sustainably

Building a better future, hand in hand with all team members, partners, and stakeholders, has been Hilti’s guiding principle for years.

The Hilti Group and the Hilti Foundation share a common understanding of values – commitment, courage, teamwork, and integrity – with the aim of achieving social impact at a large scale. With the development of a holistic sustainability strategy in 2020, the topic has been organizationally anchored.

For a sustainable positive social impact, the social engagement is based on two pillars: The Hilti Foundation focuses in three strategic areas on specific topics that are currently among the world’s greatest challenges. Addressing these challenges is crucial, as they create opportunities for the most disadvantaged parts of society. All initiatives share the common goal of empowering people in need to live independent and self-determined lives. Since the foundation is jointly funded by the Hilti Family and the Hilti Group, every customer also contributes to a better world simply by working with Hilti.

In 2021, more than 300 projects have been supportet by Hilti team members.

As a socially responsible company, the Hilti Group supports and encourages the social commitment of its team members through the corporate volunteering program Engaged Beyond Business, which was created together with the Hilti Foundation. Wherever Hilti team members work and live, there are social challenges. To make a significant contribution to solving the world’s social problems, they get paid time off to volunteer for charitable causes, whether their own or social impact events organized by Hilti.
