Since the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine in February 2022, an estimated 1.5 million people have been killed or seriously injured — making it the most devastating war in Europe since the Second World War. From the first days of the invasion, Doctors Without Borders has been on the ground, working to sustain emergency treatment for the wounded and essential medical care for civilians.
Need Has Many Faces, as Does Relief
A war like the one in Ukraine impacts far more than the front lines. While fighting continues, civilians endure hardship on many other levels. To support those affected, both the Hilti Foundation and Hilti employees contribute to Doctors Without Borders and to a range of projects aimed at easing the many forms of suffering experienced by people on the ground.
